Dembeck has over 35 years of experience within the Military Heath System (MHS); over 35 years of involvement in Military Health Systems Strategy, Operations, Plans, Training, Logistics, and Security. Retired from Army Medical Department (AMEDD) in 1998 after over 28 years of commissioned and enlisted service. While serving as a Medical Service Corps officer for over 22 years, held a wide range of command, Army staff and Joint staff positions. Following military retirement, over the past 15 years, worked in a variety of operational positions with global influence, notably serving as an analyst & operations manager for the Military Vaccine Program and supported integration of the National Capital Region (NCR) MHS (currently the Defense Health Agency). Directly supported MHS and DoD newly formed organizations to include the Joint Task Force, Capital Medical, the Vision Center of Excellence (VCE), the Defense Centers of Excellence (DCoE) for Physiological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury and its Component Centers.
